Chain Maille

No, not a pyramid scheme; weaving with little rings of (mostly) metal. On Friday, April 7th at 6:30 pm we will be working on a stretchy bracelet and a small pouch. Due to supply and space requirements, participants must pre-register with the Sign up Genius button.  (And there is a $5 deposit for supplies.)   Participants need to bring 2 (two!) pair of slip-joint pliers, about 6 inches long.  (The instructor says that needle-nose pliers are hard to work with, especially for beginners.  Please let me know, when you sign up, if you will also need pliers.  (I’ll do a… (Read More)

Sunday Arts Program is UP to Recycle

Moose!

(Moose!) Put down that hammer or paintbrush and join us on the afternoon of Sunday, July 19, to take apart and up-cycle components into modern works of art. But you are welcome to stop in at the MaketSpace and explore this and a variety of other creative activities. Here are Our Dolls from last month…   Here are some more creations by Cynthia… (Read More)

Here are our works of art…

Kids, Art, and the MakerSpace

We hosted our first watercolor painting class for kids yesterday and a small but enthusiastic group tested the water(paint)s. We’re pleased that we can offer more program options in the Arts to supplement our strong focus on STEM education. If you have an idea on how to help us expand in this area, please stop in and chat, or send some electronic feedback our way. Thanks! We have two more sessions scheduled, please get more info and reserve a seat here. Some work from the first class…
