Soup Swap Friday

     It’s time for a Soup Swap! When: Friday, February 17, 2016 at 7 pm Where: Greenbelt MakerSpace What: Soup Swap is a social, food-sharing event. Spring and Summer Camp Schedule

We have another great year of spring break and summer camps schedule featuring a wide variety of topics. Our “taste” of tech features development of programming skills through the use of animation, game design, microelectronics, and robotics. For our robotic engineers, or anyone desiring to learn design and engineering skills, we also offer a full week robotics camp featuring the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot kit. Video Production Meetup

Our amazing Animation instructor (and local artist) Ola Betiku is hosting a Video Production Meetup this Saturday, February 4th from 2 to 4 pm. If you’ve got a smart phone, you can make videos.  Or learn to edit that video of the baby eating the cake.  Or the dog playing with the cat. Repair Cafe 2017

The Repair Cafè, January 21 from 10-4pm,  is a free community service offered by a volunteer staff to help people repair their damaged or broken goods. The classroom and workshop areas of the MakerSpace, located next to the Old Greenbelt Theater (directions), will be converted into several repair stations. Each station will focus on different types of objects: clothing and fabric items, computers, electronics, small appliances, jewelry, small motors, bicycles, and furniture. Mark your calendar for future dates: April 22; July 15; October 21
