Little Makers Go Crazy with Yarn!

To close out our Membership Week, this Friday, 4/14, our monthly Little Makers event is taking place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pre-school-aged kids (ages 2 through 6) and their families are invited to come and make a unique craft! This month, the Little Makers will be working with yarn. What is possible? Google it, and for example check out yarn crafts for kids.

Little Makers and Cups

Little Makers, pre-K kids, and their families meet up at the MakerSpace on the 2nd Friday of the month, 5-7pm. Children work together with their parents/caretakers to craft, create, invent, and explore! Just bring your ideas and creativity – we’ll provide the materials. This week we’ll be crafting and creating with CUPS. It is better to reduce your use of plastic cups, but don’t throw them out! Little Coders starts next Tuesday

Jen has volunteered to teach Course 1 for early readers. Students will create computer programs that will help them learn to collaborate with others, develop problem-solving skills, and persist through difficult tasks. By the end of this course, students create their very own custom game or story that they can share. Recommended for grades K-1. This class starts Tuesday, September 15, 4-5pm. Little Makers, pre-K kids, and their families meet up at the MakerSpace on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, 5-7pm. Children work together with their parents/caretakers to craft, create, invent, and explore! Just bring your ideas and creativity – we’ll provide the materials. This week we’ll be crafting and creating with natural items, such as pinecones, acorns, unique (non-poisonous!) leaves, etc. Things one might find on the ground during a short nature hike would be perfect!
