Adventures in Minecraft

Minecraft Camp

Are your kids engaged in hands-on learning of science and technology that is fun, challenging, and rewarding? Are they interested in career topics like animation, game design, electronics, or robotics? Are you looking for a camp that has a great student/instructor ratio, with a curriculum for advanced students?

Ready to sign up? Don’t delay as some camps fill up fast. Simply register at SignUp Genius and compete a camper profile form and we will confirm your registration!

The Greenbelt MakerSpace has what you need and what your kids want! This is our fourth year of providing camps designed to engage our campers in hands-on activities that they enjoy so much, they forget they are learning core skills in computer science and engineering.

Our Minecraft camps (June 19 – 23; July 17 – 21) will focus on using Minecraft to learn how to design, program, and play exciting extensions to the popular Minecraft game. We will be using JavaScript and Python. Campers will also have the option of building and managing their own Linux server and designing their own Minecraft world.

The MakerSpace is constructing a Minecraft world that features the city of Greenbelt. Please contact us if you have an interest in joining the project.

Our camps are designed for kids 9 to 14 with advanced projects available for older students.

This is a five day camp with optional morning and/or afternoon care to meet your schedule needs. Fees, rebates, or refunds will be processed on the first day of camp.

The camp fee is $250 with a $50 deposit that is non-refundable. Full payment is due three weeks before camp starts. No refund without a replacement camper. Please contact us if you need financial assistance or if you have more than one camper.

Daily Schedule:

  • Morning care, arrive at 7am, $25 extra
  • Day camp, 9:00-3:30, $250
  • After camp, leave by 6pm, $75 extra

After your deposit is received, you will receive an invoice for the balance due. You may, of course, register or make payments in person at the MakerSpace. Not sure where we are? Find us here.
