Individual Memberships
An annual membership provides access to over 500 tools, allowing you to borrow up to 8 tools at a time for a week. Membership is individual, not organization or household-based, and dues are determined on a sliding scale based on income. You must be 18 to join. We welcome members from Greenbelt and beyond, you do not need to be a Greenbelt resident to join.
The membership fee includes coverage for rent, insurance, and the acquisition of more tools for members to borrow. There are no additional charges for borrowing tools, except in cases of late returns or lost items. Your membership dues grant you access to the Makerspace and Tool Library for one year from the date you join.

How To Join
Create an Account
To join the Tool Library, create an account, make your dues payment, and certify that you will abide by the Liability Waiver and Indemnification Agreement, Borrower’s Agreement, and Code of Conduct. Checking the agreement box constitutes a legal signature according to the Maryland Uniform Electronic Trans-actions Act (“UETA”), Maryland Code, Commercial Law Article (“CL”) §21-101 et seq., and federal Electronic Signature in Global and National Commerce Act, 15 UCCA § 7001 et seq. (“E-SIGN”).
Renewing your Membership
Dues do not auto-renew; however, you will receive multiple reminder emails when your membership is about to expire. You can renew online or by stopping by during our open hours.
Cancel Your Membership
Membership revenue is one of the most significant ways our programs thrive, as we are a nonprofit. However, we understand that life is unpredictable; we would never want to lock someone into a membership they can’t afford. Email us at staff@make125.org to see how we can help.
