While we can and do often talk about politics at the MakerSpace, as a 501(c)3 public charity we are “absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.” Please help me keep out of trouble with the IRS! My campaign will not be using any resources of the MakerSpace. If you wish to meet and talk about the campaign, and I welcome it!, let’s be sure to step outside first, perhaps meeting at the New Deal patio instead.
